Assistant – CzechTrade Chicago 

The U.S. office of CzechTrade, the Czech government trade promotion agency, is looking for an assistant whose responsibilities will include:

• administrative and information support to the office director and to the CzechTrade HQ, cooperation on PR and promo activities of the office
• dealing with phone and e-mail inquiries from Czech and U.S. companies
• working on business development projects for Czech clients and on longterm or shortterm projects for CzechTrade HQ, both independently and in a small team
• occasional event management

You are invited to apply if you:

• are keen on working in international trade and marketing
• have completed secondary or third-level (college) education (preferred) and have a good command of English and preferably also Czech
• enjoy working on customer-focused projects independently and as part of a small team
• are an excellent communicator by phone, e-mail and in person
• are comfortable with professional demeanour and attire
• have previous experience of working with private businesses, preferably in the field of trade or export promotion and business development or in a government representative entity (ministry, state or federal regulatory body, consulate general, embassy etc.)
• have the necessary attention to detail and problem-solving skills to cope with the responsibilities
• do not mind partially flexible working hours depending on ongoing projects and events

Note: This position is subject of business cooperation or self-employed relationship only (typically via LLC or sole proprietorship or also through Czech Živnostenský list), it is not an employment relationship.

Remuneration: negotiable
