A total of 997,506 new passenger cars were produced in the Czech Republic in the first ten months of 2011, up 12.1% y/y. This stems from the data from the Automotive Industry Association (Auto SAP). Total passenger car exports grew by 12% y/y and exceeded 1.126 mln units. Domestic sales increased by 0.6%. The association estimates that the total number of passenger cars produced in the Czech Republic in the full year of 2011 will reach over 1.17 mln (up 9.5%).
